I've just started reading Disgrace, by Coetzee. It makes a change from the Short History of Nearly Everything that I've just finished! Bought Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but decided to read something shorter before I start it.

I'm currently reading "Verite" (Truth-- French) by Emile Zola. I think it's been translated to English, though I'm not certain.

I just started Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult...seems kinda of slow? Anyone else reading or read this and feels the same?

I am reading The truth about Lorin Jones, by Alison Lurie. My friend recommended the book, and it's great. I like the style of the writing, and the way she treats her characters, it seems to me that she really like her characters. And even if there some characters that you might find annoying and not very positive, somehow she manages to make you understand, not judge them. The pace is slow at the beginning, but as the novel progresses, the story grabs you.
