Hoping to make new connections and gain insight into the wonderful world of reading and writing. Mainly a Fiction reader and writer- thrillers, mystery, suspense.
Any good recommendations without all of the filler in most books?

Welcome to the community! :-)

"...without all of the filler" confused me. What sort of filler are you referring to?

Agreed, not certain what you mean by "filler"? The most recent crime novel that I read and enjoyed was The Night Train by Martin Amis. I adored that book, though it's quite grim. I definitely wouldn't say there is "filler", but it's not a fast-paced book by any measure. More crime noir than thriller.
