I'm Larry Gold, a retired physician and long distance cruiser.
My wife and I retired in 1995 for a life at sea. We sailed out the Golden Gate, turned left, and never returned (by boat, at least). We cruised in Mexico, Central America, through the Panama Canal, and into the Caribbean. Life on a sailboat was fantastic, but difficult. Ultimately we switched to a Nordic Tug (the lazy way out) and cruised Florida, the Bahamas, and took two trips from Florida to Canada (circle trips).
We're currently landlocked in the Sierra foothills of California.
I've published six novels and one non-fiction that I'll outline in the appropriate fora.
I enjoy writing and I hope that it shows in my work.

Wow, what an exciting life! I'm hoping you'll share some of our adventures at sea. Are your books about life at sea?
Oh, and welcome to BookTalk.org.

Re: iNTRODUCTION
It wasn't until I completed four novels that I tackled one based on our experience at sea. That's Deadly Passage about a family who has been at sea for five years and finally decide to go home.
The thought is a lot easier than the reality as they meet obstacle after obstacle trying to get home.
As in my medical novels, I use my experience at sea to recreate reality...I hope it works.
Deadly Passage is in its final edit. Hope to have it out soon.
Send me your email address and I'll give you a heads up.

Thrilling introduction !!
“Her blood is settled, and her joints are stiff;
Life and these lips have long been separated:
Death lies on her like an untimely frost
Upon the sweetest flower of all the field.”

Re: iNTRODUCTION
Welcome. I’m always glad to see a fellow medical fiction writer get involved with this forum. We just might have a lot in common. I’ve worked in the health care industry as a clinical laboratory scientist for over 45 years. Yes, I’m also glad to be retired. And would you believe it, I just happen to live in the Sierra Foothills.
