Also, if you have a Kindle, or Kindle App on your smart phone, computer, etc., you can download one of several versions of "Frankenstein" free from Amazon.

Yes, Project Gutenberg has it for free in Kindle format.
But you can just go to Amazon.com and search for "Frankenstein" in the Kindle store. Sort by price from low to high. The first search results will all be free Kindle downloads. I did it this way and I now have Frankenstein on my Kindle.

I noticed that Amazon also has the original version, before Shelley revised it. Has the group chosen a particular edition?

I was wondering the same thing, lindad_amato. I am using the edition that is free on literature.org for now. Unfortunately there is no information about which edition it is.

No, there is no particular edition that we have selected to read and as far as I know, there is only one edition. Shelley revised her draft from Byron's house before she published the story, this is the only revision I know of. I believe you will be safe and satisfied with a copy of "Frankenstein" from Project Guttenberg.lindad_amato wrote:I noticed that Amazon also has the original version, before Shelley revised it. So nice to see/read you again Linda! I hope you will participate in the discussion of "Frankenstein"!

Re: Read "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelly FREE!
Funny, but back in Junior high--now called middle school--I read a thing with paper and ink and a dust jacket. Kinda like what our Mary read
But I am glad that the book is free and available for all generations.

Hello All. I have an Ipad and again on IBooks the book is free. I love classical horror stories. I love reading, but I work so much and with 6 kids all involved in sports and a husband who plays softball 6 days a week I do not have time to join a book club in my area. I am so glad I found this. Look forward to the discussions.
