I'm not on my desktop anymore so it's hard to read this but I apologize for saying you said certain things that you did not. I will fix that tomorrow on the computer. Despite my phone being too big for my hand it's still a lot to read on this screen.

Should it be legal for a person to walk into a bank wearing a Ronald Reagan mask that completely conceals their identity from security cameras? What if they are a member of a new religion that believes all members should wear such a mask when out in public. Should the bank accept this religious practice?

'Burqa Bandit' is latest among small set of female bank robbers
SHE BREEZES into the bank, note in hand: a demand for money, a threat to detonate a bomb. She's done it five times in as many weeks, all over Northeast Philly.
And nobody knows what she looks like.
FBI agents are hot on the trail of a woman they've dubbed the "Burqa Bandit," who wears the traditional Muslim garb during her capers.

EUCLID, Ohio — A man robbed a bank Monday afternoon while using a burqa to hide his identity, according to the Cleveland branch of the FBI.
The man, believed to be in his 20s and weighing about 150 pounds, entered U.S. Bank, 825 East 200th St., at about 1:05 p.m. wearing the burqa and glasses. He gave a teller a note demanding a large amount of cash.

While there are certainly changes moving in the direction you say, I think you are overreacting.DB Roy wrote: Islam has a history of invading other nations and stamping out their native religions by force, by murder, under the banner of getting rid of Satanic delusions. These pogroms cannot simply be chalked up to some unknown variable of indigenous superstitions. Since Islam is not indigenous to Indonesia, I'm puzzled how you can say any of this. Christianity is just another superstition to them and that too needs to be stamped out and they would do so if they could get away with it. They have no intentions of coexisting peacefully--not even with one another--and they prove it virtually every damn day.
There has already been a revolutionary takeover. And someday, Christianity will die out in Indonesia. It's only a matter of time, the country is only 10% Christian. Why force the issue into a bloody civil war when you're already holding the winning hand? Even in the Philippines, the largest Christian population in Southeast Asia, the Islamic morality police go into movie theaters and remove by force any Muslims watching the movie if that movie has not be reviewed by a cleric and declared acceptable for Muslims to watch. Islam is taking over Southeast Asia bit by bit. Some Christian leaders there aren't concerned but I would say they are stupid. They damned well better be concerned because the writing is on the wall and legible to everyone except them:Who could say for sure--but for Indonesia to be a theocracy in the vein of Middle Eastern countries would take more than a slow encroachment; it would require a revolutionary takeover.
First, the Koran explicitly protects Christians and Jews, and even ISIS has avoided unleashing its strange variety of religious persecution on Christians and Jews.
Second, it looks to me like Islam is going through a phase, one that has roots at least as old as Wahhabism, in its ability to process secularism and tolerance. Tunisia seems to have emerged on the other side, though perhaps it is too soon to say, and Turkey's present turmoil masks a really extensive commitment to modernity. As the tide of education rises, so does that of tolerance.
You might make a start on improving your credibility by not referring to Islam monolithically as "they". I know many, many humanist Muslims who are as committed to tolerance as they are to Islam.

Just to set the record straight, female genital mutilation predates Islam by millennia. It is a practice based in the Nile Valley which has spread to other areas (the same can be said of circumcision, or MGM as one might call it). Currently many Christian and animist societies practice some form of FGM, and I am not aware of any law requiring it. When asked pointedly, many imams have been clear that it has no basis in the Koran or Islam.Gnostic Bishop wrote: In my thinking I look at their rape law, their child bride law and their female genital mutilation laws, just to name a few.
For these reasons I am anti-Islam.

No need to fix anything though. Your statement is good enough for me.
Respect grows as most posters would just ignore and carry on.
I do not mind you thinking me evil for my position but I just wanted to have people know that I did not earn the names you had applied to something I did not wright.

Was it Sheiks who at one time wanted their custom of children wearing daggers in schools to be permitted?Chris OConnor wrote:Should it be legal for a person to walk into a bank wearing a Ronald Reagan mask that completely conceals their identity from security cameras? That was outlawed for security reasons. So should any disguise in any public place be.
Especially today with cameras everywhere to insure security not only of establishments but especially of the public.
