Hi All,

My name is Michael Balkind and I am new to booktalk.
My debut novel, Sudden Death, was released in November 2007. It is a golf / suspense novel and was endorsed by James Patterson, Clive Cussler and many others.
The story follows the leader of the PGA tour to the Masters then to NY while he plays in tournaments while dealing with the angst of death threats. TV options were recently picked up for my Deadly Sports Mysteries series by Marc Entertainment in L.A.
Although my books are sports based, many non athletes have written great reviews.

"You like golf, you like murder mysteries - - then Sudden Death is your book!" James Patterson

"Pure fun, pure intrigue. The action never stops till a fascinating climax!" Clive Cussler

For more information about me and my books, please visit my website: www.balkindbooks.com

I give away Heavy Putters and signed copies of my novel regularly. There is no cost or obligation, you just have to register to win at my site.

I have various novels now in different stages of completion. The Foundation will hopefully be released in early 2009. Stealing Gold will come out soon after that.
I have just finished the first draft of The Fix, a college football gambling novel I am co-authoring with an ESPN Anchor.

If you decide to purchase Sudden Death - thank you for your support, I hope you enjoy it. A new author needs all the help he/she can get to achieve just a little success in the difficult world of publishing. Please let me know what you think of it.

Hi, Michael. If you are here simply to promote your book you should make a post in the proper book suggestion forum. This forum is for personal introductions - basically so we can get to know YOU on a personal level. Plugging your books is welcomed and encouraged so I'm not complaining. But you'll get more traffic by plugging them in the other forums.
