I can understand your confusion. Woolf did write every novel very differently - so some don't make as much sense as others.

Good point on the mock biography. Those who have a copy in book form may have noticed the bibliography at the back which Woolf purposely placed there to make it like a biography.

I think your point on a woman struggling to get out is a good one. Like I've said, Orlando doesn't seem comfortable as a man, so he is trying to find what he is comfortable as.

I've read more than half the book - about halfway through chapter 4!

And I just love the story!

I, who thought I wasn't going to be able to go any further?

I went to You Tube and watched some film clips from the movie too . . . that got me a little more interested in the story.

I'll be looking forward to your views as you get farther into it.
