The Accidental President of Brazil: Unexpectedly Good

Unread post

I have just read this memoir by Fernando Henrique Cardoso, with Brian Winter (who I assume helped with the translation from Portuguese into English.)

I had to read it for a class I am taking, but I thought it was engaging, well-researched, and timely--as the world economy, world trade, and immigration
issues are being fiercely debated.

I am looking forward to discussion of non-fiction books. I started a (dimensional) book club three years ago, but fiction rules. We reached an important milestone just this summer--everyone had read the book.

I have many interests, but can only afford a few: knitting, movies, reading, music, gardening, shoes, and a feminist science fiction convention.

I would have put my gender down if I had known where to look for it.
