Life: A User's Manual

Unread post

I'd like to suggest Georges Perec's novel, Life: A User's Manual.

Perec was part of a literary movement that explored different approaches to writing. One of his books doesn't contain a single word with the letter e!

In Life..., Perec uses other limitations. The direction of the narrative is decided through the use of a knight moving on a chess board and writing lists of elements a chapter should contain and assigning them randomly.

From what I've read, it is extremely well written and doesn't feel like a writing experiment.
