Technically, I didn't apologize...

And yes, you do want to know.
It means that something isn't working or working properly, it's messed up, not straight, etc. It can mean a lot of things. Example: My computer is bootleg. (My computer doesn't work properly.) That line is so bootleg. (That line isn't straight.) Get it?
When my friend went to Texas last summer and she used that word, no one knew what it meant, so I suspected that you woulldn't either :).

Okay it has become apparent to me that our endless conversations have come to a screetching halt. We need to develop, once more, another random topic that has some important meaning on it. Any ideas?

I have to leave. My grandma's book is having its launch party tonight, this is the date we are releasing it to public bookstores. Itll be pretty cool.

By the way, im gone this weekend [unless we get wi-fi in sun river] cause im going on vacation in Sun River, Oregon. We got a 50% deal on a huge house, so we had to take it. Ill be back on monday.

My computer at home broke down, so i cant get on booktalk often anymore until it gets fixed; probably by the end of september.

Jessica, that gives you time to get over my ranks :)

See everyone monday! :D

I'm reading three books currently, two of which are for classes.

Dark Moon Defender Sharon Shinn (my fun book).
Giovanni's Room James Baldwin (Queer Texts class).
Love is the Measure James Forest (Religious Peace Movements class).

I would never have suspected Queer Texts or Religious Peace Movements to have classes of their own. Neet-o.

The Jungle by Upton Sinclair. Other than for the Bible probably the most important book to be written in the USA. It is true that it affected slaughterhouse sanitation rather than signal in a wave of socialist victories - but that's just dressing on the matter.

I just started Practical Ethics by Peter Singer.

What am I reading now?

Unread post

I know this is a fiction catagory but currently i'm reading W.A.R The Unauthorized Biography of W. Axl Rose. I really loved the book that this is my second time reading it, mostly I want to get a better understanding. It's about this charismatic leader how he and his band raised to the top to the american dream. Guns N' Roses once known as the biggest rock band in the world. Axl as a adolescence has suffered physicaly and mentaly. Don't want to give all the details of the story but if your a huge Guns N' Roses fan this book is for you. Next book that i'm planning to read is " The Catcher In The Rye" by J.D Salinger.
