Out beyond ideas of wrong doing and right doing, there is a field. I'll meet you there.

I think this is what happened on the 'Do You consider Yourself an Atheist' thread.......
we met in that field of non-opinion.....and there was nothing to discuss...
so, let's all continue to be frightfully opinionated....please!!

Lol i guess i really set this conversation off! Johnson you still havent managed to answer my question. What DOES the rest of your statement mean?
By the way, since i cant drive, I often dont notice these things, so sorry but i cant relate .
I was gone yesterday @ Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club watching Michelle Wie and Natalie Gulbis in the LPGA's Safeway Classic in Oregon. 'Twas pretty cool. It really inspired me

Well, Iluv, there we are....in the interests of being opinionated and not nodding in agreement.......to me, watching golf is like watching paint dry. I would however, have enjoyed the sunshine, it having rained almost all day here.Iluv13 said:

Only those become weary of angling who bring nothing to it but the idea of catching fish.

Theres a road between my town and the neighboring one called Harris Grade. Along it are memorials and markers of where peoples cars barreled off the edge of the cliff and they plummeted to their death. They are constant reminders of the danger of unsafe driving. It's a bit unnerving to be driving along a mountain edge seeing spots where numerous people have died. I highly doubt that their bodies were obliterated upon impact, meaning they more than likely have a burial site that is in a cemetary among relatives or upon a mantle that can be visited. I agree, that it doesn't need to be a public display.
I also agree with the memorial stickers on the backs of cars. "Forever in our hearts". Thats fine that you love them and miss them, but I see it as something that needs to stay personal and in your heart, not on the back of your car. For as many people there are that are afraid of death we sure have no problem displaying it where-ever possible. A pet peeve of mine that goes hand-in-hand with the memorial stickers are the stick figure family stickers with the names of each person above them. I see it to be an invitation for a petifile to pick up your kids (by name).

But maybe we should dispense with this word 'retarded.' I'm not usually PC, but having known a lot of people with all kinds of disabilities, including a nephew with Down Syndrome whom I love, I'm sensitive about this. Thanks for listening.johnson1010 wrote:oh man, i am laughing about this sentence!!I'm a bit confused too. Are we seeking retarded opinions only, or can retarted behavior apply as well?
