I also saw Date Night a couple days ago, and it was funny. I love Steve Carell, I'm really looking forward to seeing Dinner for Schmucks.

Oh, I just read Romero has a new movie coming out next month - Survival of the Dead. I'm so excited. xD
It comes out the day I graduate, but hopefully I'll be able to see it in the morning.

I shall be watching Franco Zefirelli's Romeo and Juliet sometime today or tomorrow, for the first time in many years. I'm excited to see Mercutio. I very much love the actor who plays Mercutio and the life he brings to one of my favorite characters ever written.

Oh I love that version. The one with Dicaprio was just WEIRD.
I saw The Losers today and it was hilarious. I love Jensen! <3

I totally hate the DeCaprio version. I was just thinking about it this morning as I was making my bed, and how much I hated it no matter how many chances I gave it. Too bad everyone else in my generation seems to love it. Blech!

Clash of the titans.

Young Earth Creationists take offense at the idea that we have a common heritage with other animals. Why is being the descendant of a mud golem any better?

Clash of the Titans was just OK to me too. I was just annoyed because Perseus marries Andromeda, not Io (she marries Telegonus). Siiigh. I just ignored the whole "doesn't-resemble-the-myths" thing for the most part though.

Re: Seen any good movies recently?
i never get caught up in questions of authenticity when it comes to a movie like clash of the titans.
I don't go into clash of the titans thinking it might be the next citizen cane. I knew what i was getting into, but even so, as a popcorn movie... still meh.
Even movies designed to be popcorn movies, or brainless slashers can be BAD at being a brainless slasher.

Zefirelli's Romeo and Juliet. Just when I thought I was too jaded to ever get emotionally involved in Romeo and Juliet ever again, I watch this performance and it's like I never saw it before, even though I saw this film at least 100 times before I turned 10. Absolutely heart wrenching, which I never thought this play would ever be for me again. Bravo, Zefirelli, seriously, bravo (oh yeah, and let's not forget Shakespeare, bravo, Shakespeare).

Re: Seen any good movies recently?
Watched the movie Darkness last night, a horror movie about a family who moves into a creepy old house in Spain and the dark history that is revealed about it throughout the movie. Not too terrible overall, but very strangely and badly scripted and poorly acted. I gave it 2 out of 5 stars on Netflix.
