Is this from the 2004 version of Flight of the Phoenix or the 1965 original?NY152 wrote:"Spirituality is not religion. Religion divides people. Belief in something unites them."

Re: Do you consider yourself an atheist?
Yes it is. A great movie. I was going to say "I don't believe in atheism" from Hawkeye from M*A*S*H, but didn't know how that would have worked out. So I went with this one.Robert Tulip wrote:Is this from the 2004 version of Flight of the Phoenix or the 1965 original?NY152 wrote:"Spirituality is not religion. Religion divides people. How about belief in Humanist principles? Such a belief would unite people, does not rely on the divisiveness of religion, and includes atheists."Spirituality is not religion. Religion divides people. Belief in something unites them."

Are you pushing your own short comings on us and safely hating them from a distance?
Is this the virtue of faith? To never change your mind: especially when you should?
Young Earth Creationists take offense at the idea that we have a common heritage with other animals. Why is being the descendant of a mud golem any better?

Re: Do you consider yourself an atheist?
I'm not sure what to believe, to be honest. There's so many religions, each one weirder than the one before it. So, while some sort of eternal paradise would be pretty awesome, I'm just going to cross that bridge when I get to it, so to speak.
And to use more phrases/cliches, I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch... or put all my eggs in one basket... etc.
So I guess if I'd have to classify myself, I'd go with agnostic.

Re: Do you consider yourself an atheist?
This question reminds me one of my classmates; she always said to everyone who asked about her religion: "I believe only in myself... so I'm not atheist, I'm the goddess of myself!"
hehehe=P
(: my sweet memories... ok, it's better put them apart. I'm going to be honest and I say I'm agnostic, but I've an inclination towards the Paganism (unfortunately that religion is too bad interpretated...)

Re: Do you consider yourself an atheist?
I'm a freethinking Humanist: I don't believe in supernatural claims based on my demand for evidence, and I wouldn't worship or bow to any god on principle alone.
