Oh my god, I saw an article about that like 3 years ago and I totally thought it would never happen...this is truly a black, black omen for the nerdy fans of Jim Henson...I will begin mourning immediately.johnson1010 wrote:Dear nine pound four ounces baby jesus, protect children everywhere from the soul-siezing terror that will surely be...

Sorry to say but I would have to say Jumanji with Robin Williams. It was right at the start of Jumangi that scared me. Where the letters of the title swirled around and around in that dark green color.

"A Fire in the Sky", the "based on a true story" tagline made me terrified of it, I recently read up on the story it was based on and cracked up, nowhere near the terror hollywood injected into it, lol

The Wizard of Oz, and I have stayed away from horror films since then.

Funny you should say that movie, Linda - it was Return to Oz that scared the pants off me. I keep meaning to rewatch it to see if it's anywhere near as creepy as I remember. I seem to recall some sort of monkeys on wheels? Sounds hilarious, yet in my head, deeply disturbing.
I also remember being very scared during the Dark Crystal. Those skeksis were so terrifying. I think they're part of the reason I mistrust birds to this day.

As a child, I hated having to watch Mufasa die in The Lion King and would leave the room everytime the movie approached that scene.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory scared me. Well, not the whole thing. Just where the girl blew up into a giant blueberry. I don't know what it was about that scene, but I just couldn't watch it. We'd taped the movie off of tv, and I think I actually made my parents tape over it.

when I was a child I wanted to watch horror films only. Otherwise, I didn't want to eat!
If there weren't bloody scenes they were "out" for me;D I'm not joking!
oh... and I watched them at night, when the atmosphere was more appropriate;D
One of my favourite horror films was "The evil dead" (usa 1981)
do you know it?

You're intense.... I'm ashamed to say I was terrified of E.T. when I was little. Not my proudest moment. I also freaked out over Chucky the Doll. I love horror movies now, can't get enough...but back then I was such a little girl!

I was scared of EVERYTHING as a kid. Now I can't get scared by movies, even if I want to. Disturbed, yes, scared, no. *le sigh*
