What format of book do you prefer?

I personally enjoy paperbacks. I feel they're much easier to hold and read from; however this may be because I tend to change positions a lot when I read and/or lie in weird positions. I don't like audio books as I tend to fall asleep :S and I find hardbacks hard to grip.
However, I think the problem with paperbacks is the spine gets creases so they look damaged or old in a bookshelf. That is my only criticism on them.
OH and that if you don't contact them they will become damaged by water.

Paperback as they are cheap, lighter and easier to handle. I travel a lot and I read most of the time I am traveling.
