Blocked and Down to Reading Labels...Pathetic!!
Im GenMa3 and i signed on to interact with other people who are obsessed with reading. I also dabble in writing in another life, but after getting more and more responsibilities and obligations, my Muse died; I have never-ending writers block. Because of those same obligations, I hardly have time to read the good stuff...so i read labels on canned goods and food boxes when cooking, and street signs when running errands. I also cheat at work and read online fanfiction when I am supposed to research. Thats all for now. hope to be writing more somewhere on here...please help me as I hardly ever join these forum thingies. Thank you. ![Mad :x](https://www.booktalk.org/images/smilies/icon_mad.gif)

I read can labels all the time as well! Welcome to the club! The worst though is plastic-wrapped (or whatever that material is) pasta. They tend to put a folding seam over the ingredient listing! Terrible... though at checkout time it can be amusing watching the checker trying to get past the folded seam's defenses. I'll say 40% of the time they end up manually entering in the UPC code.

then there are the labels for idiots....i just wonder sometimes. I remember reading on the packaging for frozen dinner (I forget the brand) that it is SUGGESTED to defrost the thing. I guess frozen dinner treats are an option.
Thank you for your replies. Now what?

Welcome!
I used to read labels all the time, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, anytime I saw print; however, getting older and needing reading glasses for any of that fine print has put a damper on that. What are all those label makers thinking? Don't they realize that there are hundreds of thousands of us over fifty who cannot read labels without our glasses?
