Good choice, Lori, the movie has brought this good old classic back in limelight.Lori W wrote:The Great Gatsby
I am reading Idiot by Fyodor Dostoyevsky presently. Just reached the point, where a lively discussion surrounds Poor Knight.

Johnathan Haidt's Book, "The Righteous Mind," and it's great! About 3/4s the way through out and it has the best description of many aspects of how the mind works that I've seen. Related to this I've also finished Jonah Lehrer's book, "How we decide." Another great book that I've recently read is Carol Tavris's "Mistakes Are Made, but Not by Me."
I am very much enjoying the discussion of Haidt that ended about a year ago on this forum. Good insights by the various posters.

I am reading Jessica Karbowiak's "These Things I Know." Highly recommended. The book art attracted me to it. The writing is superb.

Just finished Parasites Like Us by Adam Johnson.
Interesting, but his most famous The Orphan Master's Son is better.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I've just finished reading a book by Paige Toon called The Longest Holiday. I'm a big fan of this author, her books are very fast-paced, light easy chick-lit with some humour. And now I'm just about to start Izzy's Cold Feet by Sarah Louise Smith. I read her first novel and enjoyed it and I think this is her second so looking forward to it...
