Hi, welcome to the group. I would love to visit there some day.

Thank you, Cool Summer although cool is definitely what you won't be if you visit Barcelona in summer - the city is hot and muggy in July and August. I recommend spring or autumn, when it's still warm enough to sit out but not so claustrophobic.

If you come to Catalonia in summer, you should go up the coast to the Costa Brava ... I like Llançà, Port de la Selva and Cadaquès. There are also some lovely places inland ... the Pyrenees are lovely and the wine-growing Penedès region is highly recommended!
All the best

It sounds wonderful. We get quite hot and humid in the Maryland/Washington DC area in the summer as well. So I am used to that kind of thing. It is not well known but as you get down toward Washington the whole area was built on swampland, which is probably why our summers are so hot. But we get our share of winter weather here too to round it out. You should visit here sometime perferably in the Spring and Fall as they are most temperate, and there is quite a lot to see and do for tourists here.
