Today, I finished The Color Purple, which I read for the first time this week. In addition, I am reading the Narrative of Frederick Douglass. Next week, I will read The Sultans by Noel Barber.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I am currently listening to the unabridged version of The Story sisters by Alice Hoffman. I seem to be on a Hoffman kick, having just listened to the Red Garden and The Firefly Cloak by her as well. How often do you do that, read an author and then just run through s many of their books you can find?

Re: What are you currently reading?
Quite often, but that's what good story telling does for an avid reader, I've done the same thing with Hemmingway, George MacDonald Fraser, Elmore Leonard, Shakespeare, Rowling,... these just off the top of my head, there are others, Its something that happens more often than I would have credited myself with having done.froglips:

I did it with Dickens, Piers Anthony and Heinlein as well. Not to mention Stephen King.

I'm now reading "The Judas Strain" by James Rollins. I recently read "The Doomsday Key" and "Alter of Eden" by this same author and enjoyed both novels.

Re: What are you currently reading?
I finished reading Three Ghost Stories by Charles Dickens recently. It was ok, not great. I'm currently reading Cossack Fairy Tales, the Best Ghost Stories by JS LeFanu, and The House of Souls by Arthur Machen.
