Welcome! I saw your thread over here and thought I'd stop by. How about you come over to the philosophy forum and we can discuss some metaphysics?

Bobby,

You will not disappoint me. Everyone has there own interests, likes, dislikes, and opinions. That is how we all learn and grow. If everyone thought alike ... how dull the world woud be.

I would like to thank you for ordering my book. I am grateful you have taken an interest in my work even though it is not what you normally read. I am deeply in your gratitude. I look forward to reading your thoughts and ideas regarding it. It is not often I meet someone as passionate as yourself. You have a certain flair about you. Your passion with which you write speaks volumes about your soul and the person you are. I am certain that your parents are truly proud of the man you appear to be in your writings.

I am truly blessed to call you my friend. I too am a lover of history. Although I do try to stay away from religion and politics. Those are touchy subjects with some people and I never try to hurt anyone on purpose. However, if backed into a corner, I can be deadly.

Hi Diana!

Thanks for your compliments but I am truly undeserving. You really know how to inflate an ego through your profound use of language. I cannot believe how precise, exact, smooth, and effortless your writing seems. But I shouldn't be surprised as you are a respected author. Anyways, I should be receiving your book by the beginning of next week. Until then, I look forward to discussing some of the books on this site. Are there any books on this website that you have been discussing with the other members?

Hello Bobby,

Only in your eyes are you undeserving. You are worth more than you know.

I have not partaken in many discussions as of yet, though I would like to. I have little time as of late to participate in the forum discussions. I had hoped to do more, and I will when time allows.

I have signings and trips coming up, therefore, I am quite busy preparing for these events.

I trust your judgement. What would be your recommendations for me? I am asking you because you know me a little better than the other members , only because we have conversed more. Of course, how well can you really know anyone?

"If men could only know each other, they would neither idolize nor hate."- Elbert Hubbard

I do hope you enjoy the book. I have had some really good reviews from others who have read it. But I understand that it is not your genre. So, please don't despair over hurting my feelings if you don't care for it. All I ask is you pass it on to someone whom you believe would enjoy it.

Much appreciation from your new friend,
Di

Hi Bobby and Diana,
I too am a lover of history. Although I do try to stay away from religion and politics. Those are touchy subjects with some people and I never try to hurt anyone on purpose. However, if backed into a corner, I can be deadly.
I'm really not trying to sell you my essay, but you might enjoy the way I presented my thoughts about god, religion, and politics which readers have found not to be polemic. You can see what some have thought of the essay at http://acryfromtheheart.com.

I could respond to your comments here but I'd just be repeating what was presented in the essay. Glad to have you both in BookTalk. Everyone has been very kind to me. Best wishes, Lawrence

Wow! Thank you for the $100 donation today. This is incredibly helpful, Diana. I've added the "Gold Contributor" icon to your profile, added you to our Contributors page (click on the DONATE link in the upper green navigation bar) in the Gold Contributor section, and added a link to your web site http://www.DianaBain.net web next to your name on that page. You can visit http://www.booktalk.org/contributors.php to see what I'm talking about.

And you were asking about your profile so I went into your profile and selected "female" and the United States flag. But you can edit your profile following the instructions in my email any time you like.

Again, thank you so much Diana.

You are more than welcome. I am just gratetful that I can do it. I think you are contributing a wonderful avenue for writers and readers a like and I am just honored to be a part of it. Thank you for allowing me to be participate in this organization.

Oh, and thank you so much for helping me out with the profile. I'm not as computer savvy as I would like to be. I try, but alas, it does elude me at times.

By the way, I sent you my book, Vengeance Settles the Score. I hope you will find it interesting. However, if you don't care for the genre, hopefully someone else will. A small donation, I know. But better than nothing.

Please remember, I am here if there is anything you think I can assist you with. It would be my pleasure to do so.
Sincerely,

Hi Diana and Lawrence,

It is nice meeting you Lawrence. You seem very interested in discussing your ideas as well as listening to others. I look forward to picking your brain. Also, I will definitely check out your site and will much enjoy destroying your arguments  j/k! Looking forward to your thoughts...

Hey Diana! Wow! You have some really exciting stuff going on. You must be really nervous. Are you? Or have you done this a lot? Either way you must be crazy busy. I hope you maintain your fun and loose attitude ( as you have done with me) during your busy promoting-period. If you show everyone the side of your personality that you have shown me, how can things go wrong for you? I just hope that you are maintaining your energy as part of your work seems draining. But, as anyone that wants to be successful should strive diligently towards his/her goal, don't let up now! Keep at it!

Bobby,

Thanks for the encouragement. I do seem to burn the midnight oil at times and then feel drained the next day. It's just that when my creative juices are flowing it is difficult for me to stop.
I'm excited about the book tour. Yes, I have done a few book signings. They were a great success as far as a newbie to the published author world goes.
But anyone who thinks this is an easy business is quite mistaken. It is hard work. And you really must be able to take a lot of rejection and criticism. I have boxes of rejection notices and critiques. Whenever I begin to feel to comfortable, I take out a few and read them. It always brings me back to reality.

I'm ordering "running from her past" for my girlfriend. Maybe it will convince her to get on booktalk to discuss the book!
