I will be receiving Pirate Radio in the mail via Netflix tomorrow, so I'm looking forward to watching that. I love Philip Seymour Hoffman, and you can't go wrong with a soundtrack that features The Beatles, The Kinks, and The Rolling Stones, just to name a few. Should be fun. :)

Pirate Radio was awesome. I'm now on a 1960s rock 'n roll binge because of it.

My boyfriend and I just watched The Fly (with Jeff Goldblum), and all I can say is that it was really well done with an interesting story, but it's gross. Like, really gross. Like, gross plus more gross times gross to the power of gross. Yech.

That reminds me, I need to put Pirate Radio on my netflix list lol. It's below Peacock now.

I saw Get Him to the Greek today, which was hilarious! I loved it, even though it was pretty stupid.

Ink was a really beautiful, creative, and thought provoking movie. I gave it 5 stars on Netflix, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Neil Gaiman, plays that fall into the category of "theater of the absurd," and Jim Henson, you'll definitely love this movie. It's very indie and the camera and color work is very artsy, but it's not so artistic you can't enjoy it. It's very well done and definitely a film worth looking into. I liked it a lot. :)

It was pretty good. I did like that it had a lot of stuff from the stories... like all of Holmes's bad habits, etc. I didn't like it as much as I thought I would though.

I think that's the thing...I knew it would be fun to watch, but I didn't expect much from it, and I honestly forgot that Guy Ritchie directed it until we were watching. The stylistic elements and dialogue were what hooked me, and also probably that I didn't expect much and was amazed and surprised, as opposed to expecting a lot and being disappointed. I like the former much better, so I try not to have too many expectations for movies when I watch them.

But of course, we can always agree to disagree. I'm not upset that anyone didn't love it as much as I did, I just find it interesting, because I then wonder what I saw that they didn't. My boyfriend and I seem to be the only 2 in our group of friends who thought it was more than "just ok."
