Bleachededen, these posts sound a bit like horse-racing tips.
If I find a horse with these names, I'll back it.

Only those become weary of angling who bring nothing to it but the idea of catching fish.

Don't waste too much money on that horse...knowing my luck, it'll lose!
That reminds me of Spike Jones, who turned the William Tell Overture into a horse race. Spike Jones is always a fun treat to listen to, especially his take on cowboys going to see Pagliacci, and his rewriting of the opera Carmen to be just plain ridiculous. The album I'm specifically referring to is called Spike Jones is Murdering the Classics. Check it out if you're interested, it's really a good time. I listened to it as a kid and didn't get half the references until about ten years later. Now it's twice as funny.
Also equally amusing in the area of classical music parodies and humor, Anna Russell is another favorite. She sings a song teaching her audience How to Write a Gilbert and Sullivan Opera, and my favorite skit of hers is her Analysis of the Wagner Ring Cycle, where it's just her and a piano and she parodies all four operas in the cycle with hilarious commentary and musical asides. Love it.
Here are links to the CDs I've mentioned on Amazon:

The Anna Russell Album: amazon.com/Anna-Russell-Album/dp/B00000 ... amp;sr=1-1
As for my numerous musical posts, when it's late at night and the forum gets all quiet, I post what I'm listening to periodically just to feel like there's something happening here. I gets lonely.

I have CD's of Tom Lehrer - although his go back a long way. Still funny though.
Also the Danish Comedian - Victor Borge - does some very funny takes on classical piano.
I suppose you know this version of William Tell - by the American Hockey Mom:
