Romance. Linda Lee Chaikin is my favorite. Then Tracie Peterson, then Deeanne Gist, then Colleen Coble, then- well you get the picture ![Smile :)](https://www.booktalk.org/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: What is your favorite fiction genre?
That is a tough question because it depends on my mood. The truth - I love them all ![Smile :-)](https://www.booktalk.org/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Crime, love stories, family sagas and historical fiction. Some favourite writers are Ruth Rendel, Peter Robinson, Minette Walters. Barbara Wood and Philippa Gregory, although her later novels are not half as good as her earlier ones.

What about literary fiction? I don't tend to read fiction that can be categorized into a specific genre; authors like Roth, Irving, etc.
Money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I know what you mean, same here! I would usually go for psychological thrillers and a specific type of dramatic historic romans sagas. Also, I can never ignore a good oldfashioned classic...kyjake23 wrote:My vote went for other, mainly because there are so many sub-genres
I just hope I won't go blind before retirement since I wanna die surrounded by books and keep on reading

Re: What is your favorite fiction genre?
I don't if it's a specific genre, but I'd go for medieval fiction. I mean, all those castles, warriors, sorcerers and things like that. To be truth I'm really fond of books like Harry Potter as well.
Re: What is your favorite fiction genre?
This is a tough one because there really isn't just one. The only reason I think I am able to say I have an "all time favorite" author is because he has written fantastic stuff in all three of my favorite genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi and Mystery/Thriller. (the author btw is Stephen R. Donaldson). And my current reading has been all thirller/mystery with one fantasy exception, but choosing only one is tough. I'll have to go with Fantasy since it's the genre I've read more in than any other.
Cheers!
