Of the growing number of atheists, however, I'm sure that there are Pantheists and Spritual Atheist types, who remain spiritual minded in terms of living in accord with nature and feeling their connection to the natural universe, but simply don't prefer organized religion and don't believe in personified deities. Buddhists, Scientific Pantheism, and other varieties of atheist philosophy which remain spiritual, in some sense, but not religious in the theistic sense. There's a lot of middle ground mixed in. But it can all be categorized as a move away from theistic based religion towards atheism and perhaps some of that ties into the transition in both Europe and the US.
