I Sell The Dead was pretty cool. It's about a 19th century grave robber who is about to be beheaded for his crimes. Before he faces the guillotine, he tells a priest about his encounters with the dead and the undead, and the story is told the way stories are told in real life: there are stories within stories, and the cinematography is very stylized so it really does seem like you're just imagining what is happening in the story being told and not actually watching it as though it were real. Very good morbid humor and artfully produced, with a bit of a twist at the end. I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in the horror genre or storytelling in general. Great fun. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars on my Netflix rating. ;)

Also --I just watched Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer for the first time in about 15 years. My loving and wonderful boyfriend not only put up with it, but watched it with me, even though he still thought it was ridiculous. There is some weird stuff in that movie that scared me so much when I was a kid...and as an adult, I can still understand why. I'm now listening to the song that plays during the end credits, Rainbow Brite and Me, over and over again, like I did when I was little.

I think I'll always be six years old in my proverbial heart. ;)

Kick-Ass was AMAZING. Words cannot describe how much I loved this movie.

Only Nicolas Cage can make shooting a little girl in the chest funny.

I haven't seen anything good in a long time. But then again, my husband picks out most of the movies we rent. New defence to murdering one's husband, "Judge, he made me watch all of Adam Sandbergs movies"! I think I'd get off.

He's a keeper! When I do pick out a movie, my husband tends to fall asleep, then I cannot hear the dialogue due to the snoring. This can be very embarrasing in a movie theatre.

Sorry about your husband's conflicting movie tastes, Suzanne. And not to embarrass you or anything, but it's Adam Sandler, not Sandberg.

Yeah.. There's Adam Sandler, then there's Andy Sandberg. I don't know which one you're talking about.

If it's Sandler, I understand completely. At least Sandberg is semi-cute.

This cracked me up. I had to read it to my wife. She has the same sick sense of humor. LOL

My wife and I watched "Date Movie" last night and we agree it is a "B." She liked it more than me.

And last week I saw "Clash of the Titans" with a friend and again he liked it more than me.

I saw How to Train your Dragon... it was adorable. Went and saw Clash of the Titans too, meh. No really good movies have came out lately in my opinion, maybe it's a dry season?

Sandler, Sandberg, Sandwich, what's the difference! At least my husband and I agree on John Karey.

Thanks for clearing that up bleach :)
