Well, I got a call from the investigator in charge of my background check for the corrections position. Now he needs my exit papers from the Army, this would not be such a big deal except that I do not have them and now I have to send away for new copies. This can take anywhere from 1 to 4 months.I could have had new copies in hand by now if he had asked for them in the beginning, but now everything is on hold while we wait for the veteran's records division to find my exit papers. Its no wonder that corrections can't get quality people, no reasonable person would want to go through all this for a job. I have been jumping through hoops for nearly 8 months with little headway it's frustrating. And all the while the people in charge of state corrections are complaining that they are dangerously short on staff. Later

I won't be on line this weekend, I am going hiking/exploring, I need to check out the local trails now that the weather is more agreeable. Later Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a wellpreserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,shouting..."Holy Crap...what a ride!"

We (my wife and I) went to the Mohonk? trails for a day hike. It was very scenic and I took our camera and got some pictures. These trails had something that I was unfamiliar with, being from central Florida I was unprepared for climbing a mile of natural steps to get to the trail. The trail was 4 miles and went around the top of a mountain peak. It was simply awesome. I was so awed by the scenery and the local geography I nearly ran out of film. There was even some excitement when we ran across a 5 ft long black snake (yes I got pictures) I had to carry my wife past it because she has a phobia of snakes. Over all it was a very pleasant trip and is only about 15 miles from where I live. We will be going back soon.Later Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a wellpreserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out,shouting..."Holy Crap...what a ride!"

Can you post some photos of the hike? I miss the hills and scenery of the north so much, but I have no desire to live anywhere other than Florida.

Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

Yeah, christianity makes sense.
