Books and Coffee

Unread post

I don't think I can relax with a good book unless I have a steaming cup of black coffee within reach. What does that say about me? Anyway, what do you like to drink or eat when you have a wonderful book in your hands?

If I'm at a coffee shop, I'll treat myself to a cup of coffee (cream and sugar, please) with a brownie or something yummy. Most of my reading is done at home, though. I make the world's worst coffee, so I switch to tea (which I make flawlessly!) and maybe a cookie. Gotta have that sweet...

Obviously since my sign in is Wine and Books, I prefer a nice glass of wine while I am reading. Reading is my time for pure relaxation, so I like to relax in full.

I actually drink tea instead of coffee for my caffeine, but that is more to get me going for the day then relax me with the books.
A good book is only made better with a glass of wine........

Popsicles!!

I take two popsicles, preferably one orange, one grape to bed every night to help me relax and read. The sticks and wrappers can make for a sticky night table however.

I'm a coffee lover and quite picky with regards to what I'll drink. Dunkin Donuts is what I prefer and I grind my own beans every morning. My perfect reading drink is a cup of hot coffee with cream and 2 Splenda's. And I usually add some cinnamon to the coffee filter so the whole put is a bit flavored. I wish it was morning right now because even talking about coffee makes me crave it!

Tea. I don't like to get too jacked up while reading.

"too jacked up"

I love this phrase! It always makes me laugh.

I like a silky smooth espresso latte when I read. Unfortunately, if the book is to good, my drink gets cold.

As often as I must drink my coffee cold, I really should look into some way to keep it warm.

Yes! There are heated pads designed for just that purpose!
