I polished this one off in rather short order last night, completing the cycle of Shaper/Mechanist short stories. I'd say it's probably my least favorite of the stories in the collection, but maybe someone else can point out reason to like it more. At any rate, I'll be ready to move onto "Schizmatrix" whenever everyone else who's interested catches up. But I do realize that it's nearly the end of summer, and people are busy juggling work, vacation and the annual back-to-school crises, so I'm in no hurry.
