What Made Today Good

Unread post

On another forum I'm on we have this thread and I thought it would be nice to bring it over here. The idea is post something that made your day good. It doesn't have to be something big. It could be a little everyday event. I believe if you look for the good in each day it will help keep you positive.

Today is good because my cousin had her baby. He's a 7lb 5oz, 20 1/2 inch long baby named Cooper James.

Late last week a small black kitten showed up at our house. :o It was friendly, and trusting. We couldn't keep it (we already have 2 cats), and our local shelter is overcrowded. :( But we let it stay, fed and wateed it. What made today good is we founda home for it. It will be a 'working' cat (e.g. a barn cat) on a local farm. But it has a home. :)

Our house went onto the market today. We viewed it on Rightmove and now we don't care whether we sell it or not, because it looks so lovely.

We might stay here or we might move.....doesn't matter....It's a good feeling. :D

Cattleman that's awesome! I love reading about things like that. I bet the little kitty will have a happy healthy life now thanks to you.

What made my day good, other than Cattleman's post, is that my new computer came today.

what made today good?

lazing around listening to great music and watching some actually interesting programs, still some quality floating around in the ocean of mediocrity and crap.

 i haven't relied on telly since about 1995, no, i do my own programming courtesy of the net.

most of the mindless pap on telly when i do see it makes me spiritually/mentally puke, i usually have an allergic reaction to the "spirit of the age"

no, i've been enjoying the muse vid about the making of the 2nd law album, some bireli lagrene just gliding through djangology, some lewis black, and a great doco about the bali bombings called fool me twice etc etc etc

i feel genuine pity for anyone bankrupt enough or unfortunate enough to rely on what the mainstrean media pumps out, it's a recipe for spiritual death, i prefer life.

metaphorically, how sad to think food begins and ends at macdonalds.

the universe is my oyster

What made today good?

Several things come to mind...

1. First of all I had two fillings done at the dentist this afternoon and thanks to Novocaine there wasn't any pain involved...not even the two injections!
2. My wife and I enjoyed a really nice dinner from our favorite Indian restaurant! Butter chicken, garlic nan and vegetable pakoras. Sooo good.
3. We got our interest rate locked in today on a house we're buying in 2 weeks. 3.125%! This is just unheard of low. We're quite happy.
