New books - Thrillers and Horror Short Stories.

Unread post

Hi, I'm new here. My latest book got an outstanding rating from Kirkus Reviews. They sent me an email saying they were honoring it by featuring it in their magazine. It's BLUE'S POINT, a thriller set in a racist environment in a fictional East Texas town. I've read where people say it's suspicious when a novel has all 4 or 5 star reviews. BLUE'S POINT has 4.6 of 5 stars in 8 reviews on Amazon and I don't know the reviewers. If you've read LORD OF THE FLIES, it has a similar plot structure. That was a story during World War II of a group of boys alone on an island who create their own civilization which mirrors the world. BLUE'S POINT is the story of a woman reporter who has come to expose the racism of the town, and a convicted murderer who has come back to vindicate himself. As the Kirkus reviewer says, "Ferguson fortunately allows the theme to enhance the novel rather than drive it." Since many of the characters in the novel are members of the KKK or skinheads, it has strong language at times. It can be seen at: https://www.amazon.com/Blues-Point-Rich ... B00QWC6UPE

My other novel is OIORPATA, a spy thriller about a woman who has been raised from childhood to be an assassin for the KGB. I ought to mention that the things in my novels all are based on real-life occurrences. Even the most bizarre events can be found in such records as those of Project MKULTRA.

WEIRD TALES is five heart-pounding stories. RUM AND HORS-D'OEUVRES -- One would hardly think two bankers relaxing on a porch would attract the forces of evil . . . unless one of them practiced the dark arts of Haiti. THE GENEALOGIST -- When Harry Poindexter sets out to learn about his ancestors, he has no idea what malevolent forces he will unleash. THE NIGHTRIDER'S SONG -- Doctor Vodun and The Mambo Sisters find out loose lips can sometimes do more than sink ships when their rock group heads for the next gig. LI FAN'S CAMERA -- Johnny Corbett discovers that sometimes crime not only doesn't pay, it can unlock an unfathomable surprise. BAEL STUMPE -- When Bael meets his father after thirteen years, he enters the world of madness.
