Chris:
Are you going to allow HTML coding and thus posting of video and embedded objects?

HTML
Yes it does. Thanks!indie wrote:Hi there!
We won't be allowing people to post arbitrary html... But we do have plans to allow attachments of video and images in posts. It will just be done in a more secure way.
Hope that helps![]()

Malicious people abound...
As everyone has experienced the web is filled with asshats that take great pleasure in causing other people pain and problems. From what I have learned allowing HTML in posts is opening up a can of worms we don't want to even be near. So I am going to rely on Indie for managing this aspect of the community security. phpBB2 is brand new to me, so I am just not sure of the best way of handling things like security. Indie knows and will be all over it. ![Cool 8)](https://www.booktalk.org/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif)

BB Code is similar to HTML and requires a very small learning curve. Do a Goggle search for BB Code if you want a detailed listing. There is a small amount of bb coding selections above the message box in the post composition area. If you have FireFox, I strongly recommend the BB Code extension for quick edits. One of the great parts about phpBB is that the quote tags work a heck of a lot better than EZ as does BB Code in general.
